Alex Peric Net Worth: How the Fishing Influencer Built His Outdoor Empire
Alex Peric, widely known to outdoor enthusiasts and digital marketing experts alike as "apbassing" or "ap fishing," has carved out a unique and highly profitable niche in the digital creator economy. As a founding member of the legendary Googan Squad, Peric transformed a childhood passion for bass fishing into a multi-million dollar brand. His energetic presentation, authentic content style, and sharp business acumen have made him a central figure in the modern hunting and fishing industry.
Unlike traditional professional anglers who rely almost entirely on tournament payouts, Peric bypassed the conventional path to success. Instead, he leveraged social media platforms to build a direct relationship with a highly engaged demographic. This digital-first strategy allowed him to bypass industry gatekeepers and establish a highly diversified portfolio of revenue streams, turning a simple YouTube channel into a robust e-commerce and media powerhouse.
Today, tracking the financial trajectory of content creators requires looking beyond simple ad revenue. Analyzing the growth of Peric's brand provides valuable insights into how modern influencers capitalize on community building, physical product development, and strategic partnerships to scale their personal net worth. Estimating Alex Peric's Net Worth in 2024
As of 2024, Alex Peric's net worth is estimated to be between $1.5 million and $2.5 million. This valuation is built upon a combination of digital media earnings, significant equity in the Googan Squad and Googan Baits brands, retail distribution partnerships, and individual sponsorship deals. Because his primary business assets are privately held, this estimate accounts for both liquid cash flow from platform ad revenue and the valuation of his equity holdings in physical consumer goods.
A major portion of Peric’s wealth resides in the equity of Googan Baits. Unlike standard influencer merchandise, Googan Baits achieved widespread brick-and-mortar retail distribution, placing products in major chains across North America. This transition from a direct-to-consumer (DTC) model to a mainstream retail powerhouse dramatically elevated the net worth of all founding Googan Squad members, establishing them as legitimate corporate stakeholders rather than mere social media personalities.
Additionally, Peric’s personal assets include high-end marine equipment, specialized vehicles, video production assets, and real estate. By reinvesting his early YouTube earnings back into high-quality production gear and content-generating trips, he secured a sustainable business infrastructure that continues to generate reliable dividends year after year.

Income Source Breakdown: How Alex Peric Monetizes His Passion
YouTube AdSense and Content Creation Revenue
The bedrock of Alex Peric's digital career is his personal YouTube channel, "apbassing." The outdoor and fishing niche is highly valued by advertisers because it attracts a dedicated, hobby-focused demographic with high disposable income. Consequently, creators in this space enjoy higher-than-average Cost Per Mille (CPM) rates, often ranging from $8 to $15 per thousand views, especially during the peak spring and summer fishing seasons.
Peric’s video library contains hundreds of evergreen uploads that continue to collect views years after their initial release. This library generates constant passive AdSense revenue, providing a stable baseline cash flow. Furthermore, collaborative videos on the main Googan Squad channel—which boasts millions of subscribers—provide him with additional shared media revenue, expanding his digital footprint without requiring him to shoulder all the production duties alone.
The sustainability of this model relies on consistent viewer retention. By balancing high-stakes challenges, travel vlogs, and educational fishing tutorials, Peric keeps his audience engaged throughout the year. This prevents the dramatic revenue drop-offs that often plague creators who rely solely on viral, trend-based content.
Googan Squad and Merchandise Sales
The true catalyst for Peric’s substantial net worth is the Googan Squad brand. Founded alongside fellow creators Jon B., LunkersTV, Andrew Flair, and LakeForkGuy, the group revolutionized the fishing tackle industry. Instead of relying on traditional marketing, they used their massive collective social media reach to launch Googan Baits, capturing a dominant share of the youth and young-adult fishing market.
Googan Baits moved quickly from an online storefront into retail giants such as Dick’s Sporting Goods, Bass Pro Shops, Academy Sports + Outdoors, and local tackle shops. As a co-owner and prominent face of the brand, Peric benefits directly from these massive wholesale distribution contracts. This structural equity is far more valuable than standard influencer endorsement deals, as it builds long-term, sellable business value.
Beyond bait and tackle, the brand expanded into lifestyle apparel, rod-and-reel combos, and specialized accessories. The high profit margins on custom apparel and branded gear allow the group to maximize profitability on direct-to-consumer sales, ensuring that their dedicated fanbase can support them through multiple touchpoints.
Brand Sponsorships and Affiliate Marketing
While Googan-branded products make up the majority of his commercial focus, Peric also maintains lucrative partnerships with external brands. Businesses in the marine electronics, automotive, and outdoor apparel sectors frequently sponsor his videos to gain access to his loyal viewer base. These sponsorships are typically structured as long-term retainer agreements, ensuring predictable, high-value payouts.
Affiliate marketing serves as another highly efficient stream of passive income. By including custom tracking links to fishing rods, reels, line, and camera gear in his video descriptions, Peric earns a commission on every sale made through his recommendations. Because his audience trusts his practical, on-the-water expertise, his conversion rates far exceed industry standards for general lifestyle influencers. Analyzing the Pros and Cons of the Influencer Angler Business Model
Building a business around outdoor content creation offers incredible lifestyle advantages, but it also presents unique challenges that traditional businesses rarely face.
Pros:
High Profit Margins: Digital media distribution costs are virtually zero, allowing creators to keep a massive percentage of their ad and affiliate revenues.
Direct Consumer Ownership: By bypasssing traditional retail middlemen early on, Peric built a direct line of communication with his customers, insulating his business from shifting retail trends.
Brand Leverage: The transition from a personal brand to a physical product line (Googan Baits) created tangible corporate equity that can be scaled, borrowed against, or eventually sold.
Diversified Assets: Revenue is spread across platforms, physical retail stores, digital e-commerce, sponsorships, and affiliate partnerships, minimizing the financial impact if one stream declines.
Cons:
Platform Dependency: Changes to YouTube's search and recommendation algorithms can cause sudden, unpredictable drops in viewership and ad revenue.
High Burnout Rates: Maintaining the high-energy, frequent upload schedule required to stay relevant in the creator space can lead to creative and physical exhaustion.
Seasonal Market Fluctuations: Outdoor content naturally sees a decline in engagement during winter, requiring careful off-season financial planning and content diversification.
How to Replicate Alex Peric's Success: A Creator's Guide
For aspiring creators looking to turn their outdoor hobbies into a sustainable business, Peric's career offers a clear blueprint for success.
Establish a Relatable Identity: Peric did not position himself as an elite, unapproachable tournament pro. Instead, he focused on bank fishing, pond hopping, and everyday challenges that his audience could easily replicate in their own neighborhoods. Relatability builds much stronger community loyalty than pure technical perfection.
Prioritize Strategic Collaborations: The creation of the Googan Squad proved that collaboration is far more powerful than isolated competition. By partnering with other creators in the same niche, Peric cross-pollinated his audience, scaling his subscriber base and brand authority at a fraction of the cost of traditional marketing.
Transition to Tangible Products Early: AdSense and sponsorships are excellent for generating initial cash flow, but true wealth is built through product ownership. Developing a physical product—whether it is specialized fishing tackle, custom apparel, or digital guides—creates an asset with real, scalable business equity.
Maintain Long-Term Financial Discipline: Reinvesting early revenue into better camera gear, reliable transportation, and product development is essential. Treating early influencer earnings as capital to be reinvested, rather than personal spending money, is what separates temporary internet celebrities from long-term business owners.
